Free Footage For VFX & Postproduction

Kudos to @ArifSamin for the link. Now you can enjoy free footage for VFX & post production. All sources are available through Vimeo with the ‘free’ tag. Vimeo FTW!

To those who still wondering how this thing work, let me simplify everything.

First you go to this site:

http://vimeo.com/groups/free/videos

Go to the vimeo site, choose any video you like (in this case I choose this video)
Just click on any video, download it. This video will act as a ‘texture’ for your video in Final Cut Pro or any editing software (if it do supports multi layer clips).
In your post production process, just drag this on top of clip that you want the effect to be applied.
If your video editing software support blending mode, change the blending mode to ‘screen’. If you don’t have, maybe you can try to remove the alpha channel or just play around with the opacity. *update – The video itself does not rendered with integrated alpha-channel, so you need to use unmult from Red Giant Software to remove the black.
Done.

You will get the output which is same like this (maybe a bit different)
